We see our youth as a team, one which follows Jesus by helping serve within the community. We work hard to include our youth in all aspects of the church, and hope they maintain their commitment to God and become compassionate and caring adults.
We embrace our young people’s doubts and questions, then celebrate when they believe they’ve discovered an answer. Monthly discussions on faith and values are led by Pastor Bill Grimbol, along with other adult church members.
Our Youth Ministry is equally focused on fun and faith. While we enjoy attending sporting events, going bowling or to a movie, or even taking a hike or bike ride, we also spend equal time guiding our youth in faith, service and leadership.
Our youth members assist in the teaching of Sunday School, and our high school and college aged youth act as mentors in our Confirmation program. Youth members also assist in worship with communion or as ushers, are sought as committee members, and soon will be represented on both the Session and Board of Deacons.
We see that our youth are involved in a wide range of service projects within the community, and discuss timely topics of the day like environmentalism, racism, terrorism, even bullying. We want to encourage a life filled with faith and commitment to God as a fully invested global citizen.
Youth Ministry meets the first Sunday of each month at 11:30AM. Additional meeting times for the remainder of the month are decided at this meeting.
