We meet for worship every Sunday at 9:30am. Church members chat and swap stories before service, then attend a casual coffee hour after service, where they have more time to connect and share.
While our congregation is smaller in size, we are spiritually substantial. We love one another and God. We come together each week for worship to refuel and replenish our souls, and to find purpose in our lives.
A typical Sunday worship is a blend of contemporary and traditional religion. We like to keep things casual, personal and inspirational, but worship is always centered on sharing the good news of God’s grace, and the unconditional love and forgiveness offered to us on a daily basis.
Sunday Services are led by Pastor Bill Grimbol (Pastor Bill), an excellent preacher, gifted storyteller, and published author. His sermons are a wonderful blend of biblical and personal, taking the lessons shared in the bible and explaining them in relatable, every day terms.
Pastor Bill also leads a children’s sermon, helped with the aid of puppets and the high school youth ministry participants.
The Music Minister works hard to choose hymns and songs which are meaningful, lively and easy to sing along with. The Church Choir offers weekly songs, as well as special seasonal offerings to help celebrate.
At Vernon Presbyterian, every sermon is designed to lift the soul, inspire the mind, warm the heart and heal wounds. We welcome you, with open arms, hearts, minds & doors. Join us on our spiritual journey!
