Mission Trip - July 31 to August 4, 2011
Vernon Presbyterian's mission trip this year will take us to the Cheyenne Indian Reservation in South Dakota. Over 60% of children on the reservation live below the poverty level. Our intergenerational team of 23 will serve the community through light construction projects and through a program called 'Kids Club' that serves the children of the community.
Fundraiser Updates!
Thank you all for those who supported the Mission Trip Bake Sale! We collected around $460.00 through bakery sales and donations!
Our next fundraiser will be Pampered Chef hosted by Katie Freiberg. There will be catalogs available to browse during coffee hour from May 8th through May 22nd or you can browse the catalog on-line at www.pamperchef.biz/katiefreiberg. There you can find out more about Pampered Chef and purchase Pampered Chef products by using Vernon Presbyterian as the Host. The fundraiser will end on May 22nd with the Mission Trip participants hosting coffee hour and having a Pampered Chef presentation. A percentage of the sales will go towards the Mission Trip. A donation of $10 will also be given towards the fundraiser if you book a future show.
